Abstract

The current research aims to determine the relationship and impact that ethical leadership contributes as an independent variable and its dimensions represented by (the personal qualities of the leader, the administrative ethics of the leader, teamwork, and human relations) on social responsibility as a dependent variable at the level of the organization under investigation, which led to raising questions. The following represents a starting point for the current research and its content: “Does the researched organization have a clear conception of the concept of ethical leadership and social responsibility? Does the researched organization have a clear conception of social responsibility?” What is the nature of the correlation and impact relationship between ethical leadership and social responsibility in the organization under study? To answer the above research questions, and to measure the correlations and influence between the two research variables, data was collected by adopting a questionnaire as the main research tool. (70) questionnaires were distributed to a sample of administrative leaders Deans, assistant deans, and department heads at the University of Mosul, from which (66) valid questionnaires were retrieved for analysis, and then a set of conclusions were reached, the most important of which are:

The results of the research show that ethical leadership It has a significant and positive impact on the behavior of working individuals and their level of performance, urging them to work and achieve their goals efficiently and effectively, using appropriate means and methods through which they can comply with ethical behaviors represented by credibility, honesty, justice and altruism.
