The impact of knowledge management strategies in reducing strategic drift: An exploratory study of the opinions of a sample of administrative leaders at the University of Mosul

The current research objective is to the extent of the diagnosis of the level and awareness of the response of the researched sample to the concept of knowledge management strategies and strategic drift, as well as to identify the strength and weakness of measurement of correlation and influence relationships through the independent variable with its dimensions represented by (knowledge coding strategy, knowledge personality strategy, internal knowledge strategy, external knowledge strategy)The variable following the strategic drift represented by its dimensions (absence of strategic planning, resistance to change, limited focus on the environment, deterioration of performance), to determine the main problem of the research is to recognize the important role played by the new knowledge management to reduce strategic drift at the University of Mosul. Through this, the hypothesis scheme of the research was designed, which embodied the relationship between the variables of the study, as the analytical descriptive approach was adopted and the questionnaire was used as the main tool for collecting data for the sample (132).Research represented by administrative leaders of various levels (dean, assistant dean, directors of units) at the University of Mosul, and statistical methods were used to analyze data and test hypotheses through statistical programs (Sps, Amos). The current research concluded on a set of results, the most important of which was the existence of a correlation and impact relationship of new knowledge management strategies in reducing strategic drift, which indicates the importance of the role of leaders in the researched organization in reducing and reducing strategic drift.
