Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of smart manufacturing technologies on improving production quality and reducing waste in Iraqi private pharmaceutical factories. A descriptive analytical research approach was used to collect data from 100 employees from various departments in four private pharmaceutical factories in Iraq, using validated questionnaires. The data were analyzed using SPSS to examine the relationships between the independent variables (smart manufacturing technologies), the dependent variable (production quality), and the mediating variable (operational efficiency). The results showed a statistically significant relationship between smart manufacturing technologies and improved production quality. It was also shown that these technologies contribute significantly to reducing waste and improving resource utilization efficiency.Factors hindering the implementation of these technologies were also identified, such as the lack of adequate training and technical resources. The study recommends improving the smart manufacturing infrastructure and increasing investment in education and training to more effectively implement these technologies in Iraqi factories.
